Teck Seng Ho

President Director Sun Life Indonesia

Teck Seng has experience in distribution discipline, creating digital experiences and developing data-centric programs that support optimizing business outcomes.

He holds more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and extensive expertise in bancassurance/banca takaful. Teck Seng joined Sun Life Malaysia in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer.

In 2016, he moved into new role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer where Teck Seng has worked closely with Raymond Lew, CEO & President, Sun Life Malaysia, to grow our bancassurance and banca takaful business, contributing Sun Life’s leadership position in the market and significantly growing our client base.

He also supported the expansion of Sun Life’s innovative life insurance and Takaful products, including launching the company’s first Shariah-compliant investment-linked Takaful Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Fund.

Teck Seng is a Chartered Accountant and is fluent in Bahasa, English, and Mandarin.

Elly Susanti
Director Sun Life Indonesia

Elly has over 13 years experience in the finance and insurance industry, and was appointed to the position of Head of Operations PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia in 2015.

Elly studied Economics and Accounting at Trisakti University, progressing after graduating to a senior position in a multinational company in 1995. She joined Sun Life Financial Indonesia in 2009 as Director of Operations.

Elly has been recognized for her contribution to the industry during her career, most recently being awarded the ‘Excellent Service Performance for Contact Center’ and ‘Excellent Service Performance for Customer Service Email’ awards held by CARRE Center for Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty Company.

Hoe San Lok
Director Sun Life Indonesia

Lok Hoe San graduated from Waterloo University, Ontario, Canada with a major in actuarial science and statistics. After graduating, he embarked on a career in the insurance industry and has amassed over two decades worth of experience.

Lok Hoe San has worked in several countries in the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong. He joined Sun Life Financial Indonesia as Director in 2016 and is as a member of board of directors.

Jonni Setiadi
Director Sun Life Indonesia

Jonni Setiadi began his career in the financial industry as an auditor supervisor after graduating from Bandung School of Economy. In 2007, Jonni completed a master’s degree in accountancy and banking & finance from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

With a strong academic knowledge of economic, banking, and accountancy, Jonni joined Sun Life Financial Indonesia in 2014 as President Director of PT Sun Life Indonesia Services and is a member of the board of directors.

His knowledge and experience in the finance and insurance industry spans policy development, tax management, and human resources development.

Mahlani Chandra
Director Sun Life Indonesia

Mahlani started her career with one of the biggest multinational advertising agency, after graduating with a degree in mathematics from the Bandung Institute of Technology.

In 1998, she embarked on her career in the insurance industry starting as a senior manager, and progressed amassed a wealth of experience within the actuarial and risk management field over the past twenty years.

Mahlani continues to pursue opportunities for development, recently completing The Risk Management Insurance Company Grade 5 conducted by the Association of Indonesia Insurance Management Expert.

Elin Waty
President Commissioner & Executive Chair Sun Life Indonesia 

Elin Waty taking the role of President Commissioner and Executive Chair, where she will chair the Board of Independent Commissioners. Elin's leadership over the past 11 years has been instrumental in expanding Sun Life Indonesia's distribution channels and forging significant partnerships, including a pivotal 15-year agreement with CIMB Niaga, which will deepen the relationship starting in 2025.

Elin has more than two decades of experience not only in the insurance industry, but also the Indonesian market. Previously, she was the Chief Distribution Officer where she was instrumental to Sun Life’s success in developing its agency force and enhancing its brand. She also oversaw the establishment of Sun Life and Indonesia’s first dedicated shariah agency, acting as the key driver behind its rapid growth and subsequent recognition as a market leader in shariah.

Before joining Sun Life, Elin held senior roles across agency, marketing and operations at several of Indonesia’s top insurers. This experience has enabled Elin to become an expert in business development, sales management, training and customer service.

Elin graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Atmajaya University.

Vivien Kusumowardhani
Commissioner Sun Life Indonesia

Vivien Kusumowardhani is a life insurance expert with over twenty years’ experience in the field. Vivien started her career working in the consumer goods sector, before switching to the life insurance industry.

Vivien’s vast experiences in the life insurance field encompasses marketing and communication, alternative distribution channels, product development, employee benefits, merger & acquisition, strategic planning and business development.

Vivien was Vice President for Marketing & Business Development in PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia. After the integration of PT CIMB Sun Life to PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia in 2016, Vivien is now part of PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia Board of Commissioners as President Commissioner.

In 2012, Vivien was awarded ‘The Best Motivating CEO” from Indonesia Insurance Awards’ held by Business Review magazine, a nation-wide business magazine in Indonesia.

Eng Kim Yeoh 
Commissioner Sun Life Indonesia

Kim Yeoh is the Chief Financial Officer of Sun Life Asia, a global financial services organization with life, health, and wealth management businesses in eight Asian markets. She is responsible for leading Sun Life’s finance organization in Asia, including Finance, Tax, Capital, and Strategic Finance initiatives. In this role, she also oversees Actuarial, Product and ALM functions, and Regional Office Operations. She is a member of Sun Life’s Global Finance Leadership team and the Asia Executive Team.

Kim has over 20 years’ experience in finance, investments, valuation and product management roles in North America and Asia. She began her career as an actuarial analyst in Ontario with Mutual Life of Canada. She joined Sun Life in 2017 as the Head of Asset Liability Management Asia and went on to become Chief Actuary, Asia before assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer, Asia. Now, Kim Yeoh is one if the Commissioner in Board of Commissioners Sun Life Indonesia. Prior to that, Kim was the Chief Actuary of Prudential Life Assurance Indonesia. Over her career she has worked in Canada, the United States, Netherlands, Taiwan, Indonesia and now Hong Kong.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong, as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.

Kim is an active volunteer in professional associations and industry initiatives to develop the actuarial profession.

Ricardo Simanjuntak
Independent Commissioner Sun Life  Indonesia

Ricardo is part of our board of commissioners, acting as a legal expert for Sun Life Financial Indonesia. He studied law at the North Sumatera University in Medan, then a master and doctoral degree from Nottingham University, England and Padjadjaran University, Bandung.

Ricardo has a proven track record in the legal field, having served as Chairman of the ASEAN Competition Institute Indonesia; he is also a member of the board of judges of Asian Law Business in 2015, and is the assigned as Team Expert of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in ASLOM in 2015.

Ricardo founded the Law Firm Ricardo Simanjuntak & Partners and is a part time lecturer at post graduate program in several universities in Indonesia. Between his legal practice and role as a member of Board of Commissioners PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia, he enjoys writing article on law for journals and national newspaper/magazines.

During his career, Ricardo has published two books and hundreds of articles. He is listed in the Asialaw Leading Lawyer as specialist in insurance, reinsurance, and banking.

Edy Setiadi 
Independent Commissioner Sun Life  Indonesia

Edy Setiadi holds a Master of Rural Finance from Ohio State University USA. Edy has over 25 years in Bank Indonesia as economy researcher, expertise in human research strategy management, also banking and credit field. Prior to that, Edy was Deputy Commissioner for Non-Bank Financial Industry in Indonesia Financial Services Authority, Independent Commissioner in BMI and Bank Muamalat.
