Sun Life Indonesia Appoints Albertus Wiroyo as President Director

JAKARTA, 28 May 2025 – PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia (“Sun Life Indonesia”) is proud to announce a significant leadership transition, marking a new chapter in the company’s commitment to delivering innovative, client-centric financial solutions in Indonesia. Effective 1st June 2025, Albertus Wiroyo will officially assume the role of President Director of Sun Life Indonesia, succeeding Teck Seng Ho, who will take on a leadership position at Sun Life Malaysia.

This leadership transition is part of Sun Life’s long-term strategy to strengthen its foundation and drive sustainable growth in the Indonesian market. Albertus Wiroyo brings 30 years of leadership experience in the life and general insurance industry, with a proven track record of enhancing business performance and delivering customer-focused innovation.

Prior to joining Sun Life Indonesia, Albertus Wiroyo served as Country Director Indonesia at BNP Paribas Cardif Asia. He has also held President Director roles at several prominent insurance companies, including PT AXA Mandiri Financial Services, PT Mandiri AXA General Insurance, and PT AXA Financial Indonesia. A graduate of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), he holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) certification and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the insurance industry.

During his tenure, Teck Seng Ho made significant contributions to the growth of Sun Life Indonesia, particularly in strengthening the bancassurance distribution channel. Key achievements include the expansion of the preferred bancassurance partnership with Bank CIMB Niaga, the renewal of the strategic collaboration with Bank Muamalat Indonesia, and the establishment of a new partnership with BTN Syariah (the Sharia Business Unit of Bank Tabungan Negara). He also enhanced the agency distribution channel by improving the quality and capabilities of Sun Life Indonesia’s sales force.
